Take That show to end London run
October 3, 2008
Plans to transfer Take That musical Never Forget to a smaller West End venue have been scrapped, after a reported dispute over downsizing.
The reformed Take That were not involved with the show.
The Stage newspaper claimed the cast was unhappy about changes to the show and potential pay cuts. A spokeswoman for the production refused to comment.
Producer Bronia Buchanan said: "We have decided to protect the integrity of the production in its current format."
The show’s London run will finish on 15 November, ahead of a UK tour.
‘Proven’
Producers say the show is likely to return to the West End for a further run next year. It is also expected to open in other cities around the world.
The musical tells the story of a fictional Take That tribute band and includes their hits Babe and Relight My Fire.
