About OK4me2
Hello I'm Kent, the founder of this site. Impressed while reading a space exploration article and viewing the accompanying photograph, the idea that teens might also find this kind of thing interesting, became the motivation to start the site. Soon, other interesting topics were added.
Created originally as "CoolStuff", an add-on to the ‘Learning Freely’ site, it was set up to provide interesting science and technology information, which might support, or maybe inspire young people toward their self determined interests.
It kept expanding eventually requiring it's own domain name which became ok4me2.net
ok4me2 offers instant access to carefully selected News articles and related images. It does this by providing a large excerpt of each article with a photograph linked to the full article, at it's source.
As for the "me" in ok4me2, I am a long time advocate of free learning, as an alternative to forced schooling.
I’ve been involved in efforts to promote "Free Learning" environments and I maintain other websites as a part of this effort.
Interaction with users offers the best chance of providing the best possible site, so you are invited to register and become part of this venture by sharing your perspectives.
